Dr. SeonAe Yeo and her team are launching a 5-year NIH funded clinical randomized controlled trial, Prenatal Heart Smart. The study will test the effectiveness of stretching exercise to prevent hypertension and other pregnancy related adverse events when pregnant women are in the 3rd trimester.

An important part of this study is the role of facilitators (nurse health coaches). We train you to be a nurse health coach for pregnant participants in our study.

If you are a registered nurse in North Carolina and interested in taking a role of nurse health coach, contact project manager Paul Camarena (paul_camarena@med.unc.edu) to set up a time for interview.

You can join our study in this capacity as a course work, a temporary staff, or a part of your employment, if you are a SON faculty member. Work hours vary but are somewhere around 4 hours a week average.
